Declutter before you pack anything
Before you even think about packing your belongings, go through your home and get rid of anything that you don’t want to take with you.

Pack sensibly
If you take your time and think carefully about how you pack, you can move without anything breaking or being damaged. If you’re packing heavier items, try and pack them in smaller boxes so they’re easier to move.
When packing a variety of items, make sure the heavier items are on the bottom of the box so nothing gets squashed or broken. Make sure you label any boxes containing fragile items clearly, so they won’t be stacked up on in the moving van.
